Ingredients
4 oz pork breakfast sausage (or ground pork)
2 tbsp unsalted butter or ghee
2 tbsp almond flour (or coconut flour for nut-free option)
1½ cups unsweetened almond milk or heavy cream (for richer texture)
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: garlic powder, crushed red pepper flakes, or herbs for extra flavor
Instructions
In a skillet over medium heat, cook sausage until browned and cooked through. Break into crumbles and leave in the pan.
Add butter and stir until melted and combined with the sausage fat.
Sprinkle in almond flour and whisk to create a roux. Cook for 1–2 minutes to remove raw flour taste.
Gradually pour in almond milk or heavy cream while whisking constantly to avoid lumps.
Cook for 3–4 minutes, stirring often, until thickened and smooth.
