Ingredients
• 1 lb (450g) ground beef
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 1 small onion, diced
• ½ tsp garlic powder
• ½ tsp smoked paprika
• Salt & pepper to taste
• 2 cups cooked elbow macaroni
• ¾ cup homemade or canned mac and cheese sauce (or mix ¼ cup milk + 2 tbsp butter + 1 cup shredded cheddar)
• 4 large flour tortillas (or pretzel wraps)
• Optional toppings: pickles, lettuce, diced tomatoes, hot sauce
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, warm olive oil. Sauté onion 4–5 minutes until soft. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Season with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir in cooked macaroni and mac and cheese sauce. Warm through.
- Heat tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave for 20 seconds to make them pliable.
- Divide the mac ‘n’ cheese burger mixture evenly among tortillas.
- Add optional toppings like pickles or lettuce if desired.
- Roll up tightly, folding in the sides as you go.
- Optional: Grill seam-side down in a pan for 1–2 minutes to seal and crisp.
