Ingredients
• 3 cups fresh mango, peeled and chopped • 3 habanero peppers, stemmed and seeded • 2 cloves garlic, minced • 1 small onion, diced • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar • 2 tbsp lime juice • 1 tsp salt • ½ tsp cumin • ¼ tsp coriander • 2 tbsp honey (optional for extra sweetness)
Instructions
- In large saucepan, combine mango, habaneros, onion, and garlic
- Add apple cider vinegar and lime juice
- Bring mixture to boil over medium heat
- Reduce heat and simmer 15-20 minutes until mango breaks down
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly
- Puree mixture in blender until smooth
- Strain through fine mesh sieve if desired for smoother sauce
- Return to saucepan and add salt, cumin, and coriander
- Simmer 5 minutes to blend flavors
- Stir in honey if using
- Let cool completely
- Transfer to sterilized bottles
- Refrigerate for up to 1 month
- Shake well before serving
