Mango Habanero Hot Sauce: Sweet, Spicy, and Irresistible

Ingredients

• 3 cups fresh mango, peeled and chopped • 3 habanero peppers, stemmed and seeded • 2 cloves garlic, minced • 1 small onion, diced • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar • 2 tbsp lime juice • 1 tsp salt • ½ tsp cumin • ¼ tsp coriander • 2 tbsp honey (optional for extra sweetness)


Instructions

  1. In large saucepan, combine mango, habaneros, onion, and garlic
  2. Add apple cider vinegar and lime juice
  3. Bring mixture to boil over medium heat
  4. Reduce heat and simmer 15-20 minutes until mango breaks down
  5. Remove from heat and let cool slightly
  6. Puree mixture in blender until smooth
  7. Strain through fine mesh sieve if desired for smoother sauce
  8. Return to saucepan and add salt, cumin, and coriander
  9. Simmer 5 minutes to blend flavors
  10. Stir in honey if using
  11. Let cool completely
  12. Transfer to sterilized bottles
  13. Refrigerate for up to 1 month
  14. Shake well before serving
