Mongolian Ground Beef Noodles: A 30-Minute Asian-Inspired Dinner

Ingredients

• 1 lb ground beef • 8 oz noodles (lo mein or udon) • 3 tbsp soy sauce • 2 tbsp brown sugar • 1 tbsp rice vinegar • 2 cloves garlic, minced • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced • 2 green onions, sliced • 1 tbsp cornstarch • 2 tbsp water • 2 tbsp vegetable oil • Sesame seeds for garnish


Instructions

  1. Cook noodles according to package directions, drain
  2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in large skillet or wok
  3. Brown ground beef, drain excess fat
  4. Add garlic and ginger, cook 1 minute
  5. Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, and rice vinegar
  6. Pour sauce over beef, stir to combine
  7. Cook 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens
  8. Mix cornstarch with water
  9. Add cornstarch mixture to beef
  10. Cook until sauce becomes glossy
  11. Add cooked noodles to beef mixture
  12. Toss everything together
  13. Heat remaining oil in pan
  14. Serve topped with green onions and sesame seeds
