Oven-Baked Dumplings with Peanut Sauce (Crispy, Easy & Flavor-Packed)

  • Author: WAFA LI

Ingredients

Scale

For the dumplings:

  • 1 (16 oz) package frozen pork or vegetable potstickers (or homemade if preferred)
  • 1 tbsp neutral oil (like avocado or canola)
  • Optional: sesame seeds, sliced green onions

For the peanut sauce:

  • ½ cup creamy natural peanut butter
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey
  • 1 tsp sriracha or chili garlic sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 34 tbsp warm water (to thin)

Instructions

  1. Prep dumplings: Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Coat dumplings: Toss frozen dumplings with oil in a bowl until evenly coated. Arrange in a single layer on baking sheet, flat side down.
  3. Bake 18–22 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
  4. Make peanut sauce: While dumplings bake, whisk peanut butter, soy sauce, rice vinegar, maple syrup, sriracha, garlic, and ginger in a bowl. Add warm water 1 tbsp at a time until smooth and dip-able.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions, with peanut sauce on the side.
💡 Pro Tips:
– For extra crunch, spritz dumplings with oil before baking.
– Add a squeeze of lime or lime zest to the sauce for brightness.
– Double the sauce—it’s great on noodles, salads, or grilled chicken too!
