All the cheesy, savory Philly flavor baked into juicy meatloaf form!
Ingredients
1½ lbs ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 green bell pepper, finely chopped
1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
½ cup breadcrumbs
2 eggs
2 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt & pepper to taste
Extra cheese for topping (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a loaf pan.
In a skillet, sauté onion and bell pepper until soft. Let cool slightly.
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, sautéed veggies, breadcrumbs, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Gently mix in shredded cheese. Do not overmix.
Shape into a loaf and place in prepared pan.
Bake for 50–55 minutes, adding extra cheese on top in the last 10 minutes if desired.
Let rest 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
