Instructions
- Activate yeast: In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- In a large bowl or stand mixer, add yeast mixture, 2 ½ cups flour, salt, and oil. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Gradually add remaining flour as needed, kneading 3–5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise 1 hour or until doubled.
For Thin & Crispy Crust:
5. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll dough into a 12-inch circle on a floured surface. Transfer to a pizza stone or greased baking sheet.
6. Bake 8–10 minutes before topping, then add sauce and cheese and bake 10–12 minutes more.
For Pan-Style (Buttery Pan Pizza):
5. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease a 9–10 inch cake pan or skillet with butter and sprinkle with cornmeal.
6. Press dough into the pan, pushing up edges slightly. Par-bake 5 minutes.
7. Add toppings and bake 15–18 minutes until golden.
Finish like Pizza Hut:
8. Brush hot crust with butter mixture (melted butter + garlic powder + Italian seasoning + salt).
