Ingredients
– 🌭 1 lb ground sausage
– 🧀 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
– 🧀 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
– 🍅 1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained
– 🥄 1/2 cup sour cream
– 🧄 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
– 🧅 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
– 🧂 Salt and pepper to taste
– 🌮 Tortilla chips or sliced baguette, for serving
Instructions
1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground sausage until it’s browned and fully cooked, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks. Drain any excess grease from the skillet.
2. Turn the heat down to low and add the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, drained diced tomatoes with green chilies, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir everything together until the cheeses melt and the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
3. Continue to cook on low heat for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the dip is hot and bubbling.
4. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and enjoy it warm with tortilla chips or baguette slices.
