Ingredients
• 2 large spaghetti squash • 1 lb ground beef • 1 onion, diced • 3 cloves garlic, minced • 1 jar (24oz) marinara sauce • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated • 1 tsp Italian seasoning • ½ tsp red pepper flakes • 2 tbsp olive oil • 2 tbsp fresh basil, chopped • Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F
- Cut spaghetti squash in half lengthwise
- Remove seeds and brush with olive oil
- Place face-down on baking sheet
- Roast 35-40 minutes until tender
- Scrape out spaghetti strands with fork
- Heat large skillet over medium heat
- Brown ground beef with onion and garlic
- Drain excess fat
- Add marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes
- Simmer 10 minutes
- Mix spaghetti squash with beef sauce
- Transfer to 9×13 inch baking dish
- Top with both cheeses
- Bake 20 minutes until bubbly
- Garnish with fresh basil
