Ingredients
1 lb ground pork (or mix with beef for extra flavor)
½ cup cooked cauliflower rice or short-grain rice (for traditional version)
½ cup diced mushrooms (optional, for moisture and texture)
¼ cup finely chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp soy sauce or coconut aminos (low-carb option)
1 tsp sesame oil
½ tsp smoked paprika or Chinese five-spice
Salt and pepper to taste
8–10 large cabbage leaves (from green or Napa cabbage)
Optional: Fresh chives or sesame seeds for garnish
For the Sauce (Optional):
¼ cup chicken broth
1 tbsp tomato paste or sugar-free ketchup
1 tsp soy sauce
½ tsp honey or allulose syrup (keto-friendly sweetener)
½ tsp chili flakes or Sriracha (for kick)
Instructions
Gently blanch cabbage leaves in boiling water for 1–2 minutes until soft and pliable. Drain and pat dry.
In a bowl, mix ground pork , cauliflower rice , mushrooms , onion , garlic , soy sauce , sesame oil , spices , salt, and pepper until well combined.
Spoon about 2–3 tbsp of the mixture onto each cabbage leaf. Fold in the sides and roll tightly like a burrito.
Place rolls seam-side down in a steamer basket or slow cooker . Steam for 25–30 minutes or slow cook on low for 2–3 hours until fully cooked and tender.
While cooking, prepare your favorite low-carb dipping sauce if desired.
Garnish with chives , sesame seeds , or serve with a side of sauce for extra flavor.
