Ingredients
• 1 lb (450g) boneless chicken breast or thighs, cut into 1″ cubes
• 1 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
• Salt & black pepper
For the sauce:
• ¼ cup honey
• 3 garlic cloves, minced
• 2 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
• 1 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
• 1 tsp sriracha or red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
• 1 tsp sesame oil
Garnish (optional):
• Sesame seeds
• Sliced green onions
Instructions
- Season chicken with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Cook chicken 5–6 min, stirring occasionally, until golden and cooked through (165°F internal). Remove and set aside.
- Make sauce: In same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add garlic; cook 30 sec until fragrant. Stir in honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and sriracha (if using). Simmer 2–3 min until slightly thickened.
- Return chicken to pan. Toss to coat in sauce; cook 1–2 min until glossy and sticky.
- Remove from heat. Stir in sesame oil.
- Serve immediately over rice, quinoa, or noodles—or enjoy as an appetizer! Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
