  • Author: WAFA LI

Ingredients

๐ŸŸ 1 lb white fish fillets (such as cod or tilapia)
๐ŸŒฟ 1/2 tsp ground cumin
๐ŸŒถ 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
๐Ÿง„ 1/2 tsp garlic powder
๐Ÿง‚ Salt and pepper to taste
๐Ÿซ’ 2 tbsp olive oil
๐ŸŒฎ 8 small flour or corn tortillas
๐Ÿฅฌ 1/2 small purple cabbage, shredded
๐Ÿฅ‘ 1 avocado, sliced
๐ŸŒฟ 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
๐Ÿ‹ 1 lime, cut into wedges
ย
For the Sauce:
๐Ÿฅ„ 1/3 cup mayonnaise
๐Ÿฅ„ 2 tbsp sour cream
๐Ÿ‹ 1 tbsp lime juice
๐ŸŒถ 1 tsp hot sauce (optional)
๐Ÿง‚ Salt to taste

Instructions

1. Begin by patting the fish fillets dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, combine the cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Evenly rub this spice mix onto both sides of the fish fillets.
2. Heat olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. When the oil is hot, add the fish fillets and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until the fish turns opaque and flakes easily. Remove from heat and set aside.
3. Prepare the sauce by whisking together mayonnaise, sour cream, lime juice, hot sauce (if using), and salt in a small bowl. Adjust seasoning to your preference.
4. Warm the tortillas either in a dry skillet or microwave. Break the cooked fish into large chunks and place them in the center of each tortilla. Top with shredded cabbage, avocado slices, and chopped cilantro. Drizzle with the prepared sauce.
5. Serve your fish tacos right away with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the top. Enjoy the fresh and flavorful taste!
