Garlic Butter Beef Cheeseburger Rollups

Ingredients

โ€“ 500g ground beef ๐Ÿฅฉ

โ€“ 1 tbsp olive oil ๐Ÿซ’

โ€“ 1 small onion, finely chopped ๐Ÿง…

โ€“ 3 cloves garlic, minced ๐Ÿง„

โ€“ 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce ๐Ÿง‚

โ€“ 1 tsp mustard (Dijon or yellow) ๐ŸŸก

โ€“ Salt and black pepper to taste ๐Ÿง‚

โ€“ 100g shredded cheddar cheese ๐Ÿง€

โ€“ 100g cream cheese, softened ๐Ÿง€

โ€“ 1 package crescent roll dough (about 8 pieces) ๐Ÿฅ

โ€“ 50g butter, melted ๐Ÿงˆ

โ€“ 1 tsp garlic powder (optional) ๐ŸŒฟ

โ€“ 1 egg, beaten for egg wash ๐Ÿฅš

โ€“ Sesame seeds for topping (optional) ๐ŸŒฑ

โ€“ Pickles and ketchup for serving ๐Ÿฅ’๐Ÿ…


Instructions

1 Preheat the oven to 200ยฐC (400ยฐF) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2 Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 3โ€“4 minutes.

3 Add the minced garlic and cook 1 minute more until fragrant.

4 Add the ground beef to the skillet. Break it up with a spoon and cook until browned, about 6โ€“8 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

5 Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt and pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

6 In a bowl, mix the shredded cheddar and softened cream cheese until combined. Fold the cheese mixture into the warm beef so it melts slightly and becomes spreadable.

7 Unroll the crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles. On each triangle, spoon a generous tablespoon or two of the beef-cheese mixture near the wide end.

8 Roll each triangle tightly from the wide end to the point, forming individual rollups. Place them seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

9 Brush each rollup with beaten egg, then brush with melted garlic butter (mix melted butter with minced garlic or garlic powder). Sprinkle sesame seeds on top if using.

10 Bake in the preheated oven for 12โ€“16 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.

11 Remove from the oven and brush once more with any remaining garlic butter for extra shine and flavor. Let rest 2โ€“3 minutes.

12 Serve warm with pickles, ketchup and extra mustard on the side. Enjoy your handheld cheeseburger rollups!
