Turn classic cheeseburgers into handheld perfection! Juicy seasoned beef, melted cheese and a garlic-butter glaze wrapped in flaky dough โ perfect for game day or a cozy dinner ๐๐ง๐ง.
Ingredients
โ 500g ground beef ๐ฅฉ
โ 1 tbsp olive oil ๐ซ
โ 1 small onion, finely chopped ๐ง
โ 3 cloves garlic, minced ๐ง
โ 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce ๐ง
โ 1 tsp mustard (Dijon or yellow) ๐ก
โ Salt and black pepper to taste ๐ง
โ 100g shredded cheddar cheese ๐ง
โ 100g cream cheese, softened ๐ง
โ 1 package crescent roll dough (about 8 pieces) ๐ฅ
โ 50g butter, melted ๐ง
โ 1 tsp garlic powder (optional) ๐ฟ
โ 1 egg, beaten for egg wash ๐ฅ
โ Sesame seeds for topping (optional) ๐ฑ
โ Pickles and ketchup for serving ๐ฅ๐
Instructions
1 Preheat the oven to 200ยฐC (400ยฐF) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2 Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 3โ4 minutes.
3 Add the minced garlic and cook 1 minute more until fragrant.
4 Add the ground beef to the skillet. Break it up with a spoon and cook until browned, about 6โ8 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
5 Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt and pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
6 In a bowl, mix the shredded cheddar and softened cream cheese until combined. Fold the cheese mixture into the warm beef so it melts slightly and becomes spreadable.
7 Unroll the crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles. On each triangle, spoon a generous tablespoon or two of the beef-cheese mixture near the wide end.
8 Roll each triangle tightly from the wide end to the point, forming individual rollups. Place them seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
9 Brush each rollup with beaten egg, then brush with melted garlic butter (mix melted butter with minced garlic or garlic powder). Sprinkle sesame seeds on top if using.
10 Bake in the preheated oven for 12โ16 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
11 Remove from the oven and brush once more with any remaining garlic butter for extra shine and flavor. Let rest 2โ3 minutes.
12 Serve warm with pickles, ketchup and extra mustard on the side. Enjoy your handheld cheeseburger rollups!
