Ingredients
¾ cup (180g) warm milk
2 ¼ teaspoons quick rise or active yeast
¼ cup (50g) granulated sugar
1 egg + 1 egg yolk, at room temperature
¼ cup (57g) butter, melted
3 cups (360g) bread flour, plus more for dusting
¾ teaspoon salt
⅔ cup (142g) dark brown sugar
1 ½ tablespoons ground cinnamon
¼ cup (57g) butter, softened
4 oz (112g) cream cheese, softened
3 tablespoons butter, softened
¾ cup (85g) powdered sugar
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Warm milk to 110°F. Combine with yeast, sugar, egg, yolk, and melted butter in a mixer.
2. Mix in flour and salt until a dough forms. Knead for 8 minutes until slightly sticky.
3. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl for 1-1.5 hours until doubled.
4. Roll out into a 14×9 inch rectangle, spread butter, and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
5. Roll tightly, cut into 1-inch sections, and place in a greased pan. Let rise for 30-45 minutes.
6. Preheat oven to 350°F and bake for 20-25 minutes until slightly golden.
7. For frosting, mix cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Frost rolls and enjoy!
