Description

Warm cinnamon spice, sweet apples, and a crispy golden crust — these bite-sized apple fritters are a deliciously fun treat that’s easy to make and impossible to resist!

Ingredients

Scale

2 large apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled and cut into small cubes
1/2 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour blend)
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
1 egg
Oil for frying (vegetable, canola, or coconut oil)
For the Coating:

1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
Optional: 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey (for sticky bites)

Instructions

In a bowl, mix flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
Add milk and egg, then whisk into the dry ingredients to form a smooth batter.
Heat oil in a deep skillet or pot until hot (about 350°F / 175°C).
Working in batches, add apple cubes to the batter and stir to coat.
Using a slotted spoon or tongs, carefully place coated apple pieces into the hot oil. Fry 2–3 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove and drain on paper towels.
While still warm, toss in a bowl with powdered sugar and cinnamon. For extra flavor, drizzle with maple syrup before tossing.
Serve warm and enjoy!
