- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ cup almond butter (light caramel-style base)
- 2 tbsp coconut milk
- Pinch of sea salt
- 2 tbsp chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Heat coconut oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add apple slices, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cook for 6–8 minutes until tender.
- Stir in maple syrup and vanilla, cooking until lightly caramelized.
- In a small pan, whisk almond butter, coconut milk, and salt until smooth and warm.
- Spoon cooked apples into serving bowls.
- Drizzle the warm caramel-style sauce over apples.
- Top with chopped walnuts if desired.
- Serve warm.
