Cream Cheese-Filled Banana Bread: Ultra Moist, Rich, and Irresistible

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt

Cream Cheese Filling:

 

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix mashed bananas, eggs, coconut oil, maple syrup, and vanilla.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Stir dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, egg, maple syrup, and vanilla until smooth.
  6. Pour half the banana bread batter into the loaf pan.
  7. Spread cream cheese filling evenly on top.
  8. Add remaining banana batter over the filling.
  9. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean from the bread layer.
  10. Cool completely before slicing for clean layers.
