  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder Cocoa Powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup maple syrup Maple Syrup
  • ¼ cup coconut oil, melted Coconut Oil
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup hot water

 

  • 2 tbsp coconut sugar (for topping, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add maple syrup, coconut oil, almond milk, and vanilla; mix until smooth batter forms.
  4. Pour batter into the prepared baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle coconut sugar evenly over the top if using.
  6. Carefully pour hot water over the batter (do not stir).
  7. Bake for 30–35 minutes until the top is set and the center is fudgy.
  8. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving warm.
