Ingredients

• 2 large firm apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled and quartered
• 4 whole-wheat crescent roll dough sheets or light puff pastry
• 2 tbsp pure maple syrup or honey
• 1 tsp ground cinnamon + pinch of nutmeg
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 2 tbsp light butter or coconut oil, melted
• ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt for serving
• Optional: 1 tbsp rolled oats + 1 tbsp chopped pecans for topping


Instructions

• Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
• Toss apple quarters with cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla until evenly coated with warm spices.
• Wrap each apple piece in a crescent dough sheet, sealing edges gently to enclose the fruit.
• Place dumplings on the baking sheet; brush lightly with melted butter and drizzle with maple syrup.
• Sprinkle with oats and pecans if using; bake 18-22 mins until golden brown and apples are tender.
• Serve warm with a dollop of Greek yogurt for a creamy, protein-rich finish to this cozy treat!
