  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup Rice Krispies cereal

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in egg and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in Rice Krispies cereal and chocolate chips gently to avoid crushing the cereal.
  7. Scoop dough into tablespoon-sized balls and place on baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are lightly golden.
  9. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a rack.
  10. Serve once cooled slightly for best texture.
