Instructions

- Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in egg and vanilla extract until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in Rice Krispies cereal and chocolate chips gently to avoid crushing the cereal.
- Scoop dough into tablespoon-sized balls and place on baking sheet.
- Bake for 10β12 minutes, until edges are lightly golden.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a rack.
- Serve once cooled slightly for best texture.
