- 2 cups fresh cranberries
- 2 cups strawberries, hulled and chopped
- 1 apple, peeled and finely diced
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- 2 tbsp fresh orange juice
- 1 tsp orange zest
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp ground cloves
- ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp chia seeds (optional, for thickening)
Instructions
- Add the cranberries, strawberries, apple, maple syrup, orange juice, orange zest, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg to a saucepan.
- Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce the heat and simmer for 20–25 minutes, until the fruit softens and breaks down.
- Mash the mixture with a potato masher or blend briefly for a smoother texture.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and chia seeds, if using.
- Simmer for another 5 minutes until thickened.
- Remove from the heat and let the jam cool completely.
- Transfer to clean jars and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
