For the Cookies:

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • 1/4 cup milk

For the Glaze:

  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Decoration:

 

  • Holiday sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla and almond extracts.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients, alternating with milk, until a soft dough forms.
  6. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on the prepared baking sheets.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the bottoms are lightly golden.
  8. Allow cookies to cool completely.
  9. Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make the glaze.
  10. Dip the tops of the cookies into the glaze and immediately decorate with sprinkles.
  11. Let the glaze set before serving.
