- 1 package refrigerated pie crusts (or homemade dough)
- 3 medium apples, peeled and diced
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin.
- Roll out pie crust and cut into small circles to fit muffin cups.
- Press dough into muffin tin to form mini crusts.
- In a skillet, melt butter and cook apples for 5–6 minutes.
- Add brown sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and vanilla; cook until apples are tender.
- Spoon apple mixture into each mini crust.
- Drizzle caramel sauce over the filling.
- Top with small dough shapes if desired and brush edges with egg wash.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes, until golden brown.
- Cool slightly before serving.
