Ingredients You’ll Need

For the Banana Bread:

  • 2 large ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup coconut flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup melted butter or coconut oil
  • 1/3 cup powdered erythritol or monk fruit sweetener
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar or lemon juice (for “buttermilk” effect)

Optional: Add 1/2 tsp cinnamon or nutmeg for extra warmth and depth

For the Chocolate Chips:

  • 1/4 cup sugar-free dark chocolate chips (90% cacao recommended)
  • Or 2 oz chopped dark chocolate bar (erythritol-sweetened)

Tip: Stir in half the chocolate into the batter and sprinkle the rest on top before baking.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C) . Grease a 8×4-inch loaf pan or line with parchment paper for easier release.

Pro Tip: Use silicone molds for even easier removal and clean-up.

Step 2: Mix Dry Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, whisk together:

  • Almond flour
  • Coconut flour
  • Baking soda
  • Salt
  • Powdered sweetener
  • Cinnamon or nutmeg (if using)

Mix well until evenly incorporated.

Note: Coconut flour is highly absorbent—measure carefully and sift if possible.

Step 3: Add Wet Ingredients

To the dry mixture, add:

  • Mashed bananas
  • Melted butter or oil
  • Vanilla extract
  • Apple cider vinegar or lemon juice

Stir until smooth and slightly thick—but still scoopable.

Pro Tip: The batter should be firm but moist. Add an extra egg yolk or cream if too thin.

Step 4: Fold in Chocolate Chips

Gently fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula or wooden spoon.

Make sure they’re evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Step 5: Pour Into Pan

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

Sprinkle additional chocolate chips on top for visual appeal.

Step 6: Bake Until Moist and Golden

Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 40–45 minutes , or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean (with just a few moist crumbs).

Let cool completely before slicing.

Step 7: Serve and Enjoy!

Slice into thick slabs and enjoy warm or at room temperature.

Pair with black coffee, herbal tea, or a dollop of whipped cream for the ultimate treat.

Super Moist Chocolate Chip Banana Bread – Sweet, Fudgy & Perfectly Low-Carb!

  • Author: WAFA LI
  • Total Time: 1 hr

Description

This banana bread is a delightful blend of rich chocolate and sweet bananas.

Ingredients

🧁 1 & ½ cups (180g) all-purpose flour, spoon and leveled
🧁 1 teaspoon baking soda
🧁 ½ teaspoon salt
🧁 ½ cup (1 stick / 115g) unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
🧁 ¼ cup (60mL) vegetable oil
🧁 ¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar
🧁 2 large eggs, at room temperature
🧁 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
🧁 1 & ½ cups (360g) mashed ripe bananas (about 3-4 medium sized bananas)
🧁 1 cup (170g) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan and line the bottom and sides with parchment paper, leaving a bit of parchment paper hanging over the sides to make it easier to pull the loaf out. Set aside.
In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, combine butter, oil, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Whisk to combine. Mix in mashed bananas.
Add the dry ingredients and chocolate chips to the wet ingredients. Mix until just combined. Take care not to overmix!
Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan. Bake in the center of your preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (some melted chocolate on the skewer is fine, too!) If you notice the loaf is browning too quickly, loosely tent the top with aluminum foil and continue baking until cooked through.
Cool the bread in your loaf pan until slightly warm or room temperature before slicing and serving!
