Add a dash of hot sauce or red pepper flakes to the tuna salad for a spicy twist.
Mediterranean Delight
Mix in chopped olives, roasted red peppers, and oregano for a Mediterranean-inspired flavor profile.
Bagel Thins

Tips for Perfect Air Fryer Low-Carb Tuna Melts
- Choose Quality Bread : If using bread, opt for sturdy low-carb options like almond flour bread or cloud bread to prevent sogginess.
- Don’t Overcook : Keep an eye on the melts to avoid burning the cheese or overcooking the bread.

Air Fryer Low-Carb Tuna Melts: A Quick, Keto-Friendly Comfort Dish
Ingredients
INGREDIENTS : 1 (7oz) can tuna packed in water (well drained)
1 heaping cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 large egg
Optional seasoning (black pepper, garlic powder, cayenne)
Instructions
In a medium size bowl, mix together the drained tuna, cheese and egg until well combined. You can optionally add in some seasoning such as black pepper, garlic powder, and cayenne. I’d avoid salt because the tuna is already loaded with it.
Form the tuna mixture into small, tightly packed patties and place them onto the bottom of your air fryer. I made mine about 2 inches wide.
Air fry at 390°F for 12-16 minutes, flipping them over half way through. After making these a few times, I’ve discovered that they are more done than they look! They continue to crisp up as they cool down.
Allow them to cool for a few minutes and then enjoy alone or with your favorite dipping sauce. I think they’re yummy with Ranch dressing!
