For the Chicken:

  • 1 1/2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Oil for frying

For the Bang Bang Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tbsp honey

Garnish:

  • Sliced green onions
  • Sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place chicken pieces in buttermilk and let marinate for 15–20 minutes.
  2. In a shallow bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Remove chicken from buttermilk and dredge in the flour mixture until fully coated.
  4. Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350Β°F (175Β°C).
  5. Fry chicken in batches for 4–5 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
  7. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and honey.
  8. Toss the warm chicken with the sauce until evenly coated.
  9. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
