Ingredients
4 cups chopped green or red cabbage (about ½ medium head)
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese (or mozzarella, Gouda, or a mix)
¼ cup heavy cream or full-fat coconut cream
2 tbsp butter or ghee
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
Optional: ¼ cup crushed pork rinds or Parmesan for topping
Optional add-in: ½ cup cooked bacon or sausage for extra protein
INGREDIENTS FOR KETO VERSION:
Use full-fat dairy and avoid sweetened cheeses. For a richer flavor, stir in 2–3 oz of softened cream cheese.
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, toss cabbage , cheddar cheese , heavy cream , butter , garlic powder , salt , and pepper until well combined.
Transfer mixture into a greased 8×8-inch baking dish or cast iron skillet.
Optional: Top with crushed pork rinds or grated Parmesan for extra crunch.
Bake for 25–30 minutes or until golden on top and bubbly around the edges.
Let cool slightly before serving warm as a hearty side or light main dish.
