- 12 oz elbow macaroni
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup extra cheddar cheese for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook macaroni according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually whisk in milk until smooth.
- Cook until slightly thickened, then stir in cheddar, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Stir until cheeses are melted and the sauce is creamy.
- Add cooked macaroni and toss to coat evenly.
- Transfer mixture to the baking dish and sprinkle with extra cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, until bubbly and golden on top.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
