Cheesy Delight: Three Cheese Baked Macaroni – The Ultimate Comfort Food Casserole

Ingredients

  • 12 oz elbow macaroni
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

 

  • 1/2 cup extra cheddar cheese for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook macaroni according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  4. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Gradually whisk in milk until smooth.
  6. Cook until slightly thickened, then stir in cheddar, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  7. Stir until cheeses are melted and the sauce is creamy.
  8. Add cooked macaroni and toss to coat evenly.
  9. Transfer mixture to the baking dish and sprinkle with extra cheddar cheese.
  10. Bake for 20–25 minutes, until bubbly and golden on top.
  11. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
