Cowboy Quiche: A Hearty, Cheesy Breakfast Packed with Western Flavor

  • 1 prepared 9-inch pie crust
  • 1/2 lb lean ground beef
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup bell pepper, diced
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease.
  3. Add onion and bell pepper and cook for 3–4 minutes until softened.
  4. Spread the beef mixture evenly into the pie crust.
  5. Sprinkle crumbled bacon and shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
  6. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  7. Pour the egg mixture into the pie crust.
  8. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the center is set and lightly golden.
  9. Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing.
  10. Garnish with green onions and serve warm.
