Ingredients

For the Steakburgers:

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 8 slices American or cheddar cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns

Garlic Butter:

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley

Toppings:

Β 

  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Sliced onions
  • Pickles
  • Mayonnaise, ketchup, or burger sauce

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, and parsley. Set aside.
  2. Divide the ground beef into 8 equal portions and form thin patties.
  3. Season both sides of the patties with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Heat a griddle or large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Cook patties for 2–3 minutes per side until nicely browned.
  6. Place a slice of cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking.
  7. Brush the insides of the buns with garlic butter and toast until golden.
  8. Stack two cheesy patties on each bun.
  9. Add lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and your favorite condiments.
  10. Brush a little extra garlic butter over the top bun if desired and serve immediately.
