For the Burgers:

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 8 slices American or cheddar cheese
  • 4 brioche or hamburger buns

Garlic Butter:

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Toppings:

  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Onion slices
  • Pickles
  • Mayonnaise, ketchup, or burger sauce

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, and parsley. Set aside.
  2. Divide the ground beef into 8 equal portions and form thin patties.
  3. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Heat a griddle or skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Cook patties for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your liking.
  6. Add a slice of cheese to each patty during the last minute of cooking.
  7. Brush the inside of each bun with garlic butter and toast until lightly golden.
  8. Stack two cheeseburger patties on the bottom half of each bun.
  9. Add lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and your favorite condiments.
  10. Top with the remaining bun and serve immediately.
