Guilt-Free Loaded Bacon Cheeseburger Pasta: All the Flavor, None of the Guilt

Ingredients

  • 8 oz whole wheat pasta
  • 1 lb lean ground beef (90% lean)
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 cup reduced-fat cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
  3. Add onion and garlic; cook for 3–4 minutes until softened.
  4. Stir in tomato paste, mustard, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour in beef broth and almond milk. Simmer for 3–4 minutes.
  6. Add shredded cheddar cheese and stir until melted and creamy.
  7. Fold in the cooked pasta and crumbled turkey bacon.
  8. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring until everything is well coated.
  9. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
