Herb Butter: A Flavor-Packed Compound Butter for Everything You Cook

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

 

  • 1 tsp lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, add softened butter.
  2. Mix in parsley, chives, thyme, garlic, salt, pepper, and lemon juice if using.
  3. Stir until all ingredients are evenly combined.
  4. Spoon mixture onto parchment paper and shape into a log.
  5. Roll tightly and twist ends to seal.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour until firm.
  7. Slice and serve over warm dishes as needed.
