Crispy, golden, and totally low-carb — these keto onion rings are baked or air-fried to perfection and make a delicious appetizer, snack, or side!
Ingredients
1 large yellow onion (sliced into rings)
½ cup almond flour
¼ cup coconut flour
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp paprika
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
1 large egg (for coating)
2 tbsp water
Optional: grated Parmesan cheese for extra crunch
Cooking spray or olive oil for crispiness
Instructions
¼ cup mayonnaise or sour cream
1 tbsp hot sauce (for bang-bang style)
1 tsp sugar-free ketchup or mustard
INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) or preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
In a bowl, mix almond flour , coconut flour , garlic powder , paprika , and salt & pepper for the breading.
In another bowl, whisk egg and water for the wet dip.
Dip each onion ring in the egg wash, then coat in the flour mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
Place on a lined baking sheet (air fryer basket if using) and lightly mist with cooking spray or drizzle with olive oil.
Bake or air fry for 10–12 minutes per side until golden and crispy. Flip halfway through.
Optional: Toss warm onion rings in grated Parmesan cheese after baking for extra flavor.
Serve with your favorite keto dipping sauce like ranch, mayo, or spicy ketchup.
