For the Beef Sauce:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
For the Noodles:
- 12 oz egg noodles
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
For the Topping:

- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease a baking dish.
- Cook egg noodles according to package directions. Drain.
- In a bowl, mix hot noodles with sour cream, cottage cheese, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
- In a skillet, cook ground beef and onion until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add garlic, marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- In the baking dish, layer half the noodle mixture, half the meat sauce, and repeat.
- Top with mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 25β30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with parsley if desired.
