Steamed Pork Cabbage Rolls: A Low-Carb, Flavorful Dish with Asian Inspiration

  • Author: WAFA LI

Ingredients

🥬 8 medium cabbage leaves
🌿 2 stalks green onion, sliced
🍖 1 pound ground pork
🥚 1 medium egg
🧄 1 small piece ginger, grated
🥢 2 tablespoons soy sauce
🧂 ¼ teaspoon salt
🥢 ¼ cup soy sauce (for dipping)
🌶️ 2 teaspoons sriracha sauce
🍬 ½ teaspoon erythritol

Instructions

1. Preheat a large pot of boiling water.
2. Cut the stem off the cabbage and peel off the leaves. Blanch the leaves in boiling water until softened, then set aside.
3. In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, egg, soy sauce, green onion, and grated ginger. Mix well.
4. Place 2 tablespoons of the meat mixture on a cabbage leaf. Roll by folding the bottom up, then the sides in, and finally rolling forward.
5. Arrange the rolls on a steamer rack in the pot, ensuring they don’t touch the water. Cover and steam for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
6. Whisk together soy sauce, salt, sriracha, and erythritol for the dipping sauce.
7. Serve warm with the dipping sauce.
