  • 2 cups unsweetened milk of choice (almond, oat, or dairy)
  • ¼ cup pumpkin puree
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 2 tbsp dark chocolate chips (optional, for extra richness)

Optional Toppings:

  • Coconut whipped cream
  • A sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice
  • Dark chocolate shavings
  • Cinnamon stick

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the milk, pumpkin puree, cocoa powder, maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, and sea salt.
  2. Heat over medium heat, whisking constantly until smooth and steaming, but do not let it boil.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract and dark chocolate chips, if using, and whisk until completely melted.
  4. Continue heating for 1–2 minutes until hot and creamy.
  5. Pour into two mugs.
  6. Top with coconut whipped cream, a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice, chocolate shavings, or a cinnamon stick, if desired.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!
