- 2 cups unsweetened milk of choice (almond, oat, or dairy)
- ¼ cup pumpkin puree
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 1 pinch ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch sea salt
- 2 tbsp dark chocolate chips (optional, for extra richness)
Optional Toppings:
- Coconut whipped cream
- A sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice
- Dark chocolate shavings
- Cinnamon stick
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the milk, pumpkin puree, cocoa powder, maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, and sea salt.
- Heat over medium heat, whisking constantly until smooth and steaming, but do not let it boil.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and dark chocolate chips, if using, and whisk until completely melted.
- Continue heating for 1–2 minutes until hot and creamy.
- Pour into two mugs.
- Top with coconut whipped cream, a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice, chocolate shavings, or a cinnamon stick, if desired.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
